  1. Thanks Pete 🙂 Maybe it’s time to retire on a high 🤔
  2. Nice fishing 🙂 Cracking pollack that
  3. Top work Stu! I was stuck on land (recovering from flu and eye surgery) but was down on Penarth and was lovely. Nice to see the pollack still around, won’t be long before around in decent numbers 🙂
  4. Looking forward to fishing…. Boat is in yard but weather too crap to finish it off hopefully back in water for Easter and then off to play on the reefs for some pollack etc… maybe a good before the summer madness starts… until then…. Too much DIY, work travel and boat teaching to do….
  5. I used dogfush when I was up there a few years ago skipoer was super excited when I said I had 20+ frozen dogfush. Asked how long it took ti catch I was like 1hour on baited feathers….. apparently they just get spurs up there
  6. https://www.findafishingboat.com/cygnus-tornado-28/ad-134854 It’s an excellent boat. If you’re looking for an offshore capable boat it’ll knock the pants off Arvor 25 etc. you’re looking at a something akin to an offshore 25. It’s a very well priced piece of kit. Outdrive still under warranty. Modern legs are far more reliable if looked after. Volvo legs are used on a range of charter boats and as long as well maintained are ok. More fuel efficient than a shaft too…
  7. We’ve got a bank just outside Milford Haven called the Turbot Bank….. only it doesn’t hold turbot… The only ones I’ve caught have been drifting sandbanks with 6ft running ledger, fillet of mackerel. That was on Nash Bank Bristol Channel. Sadly most are small as we don’t get turbos round here 😞
  8. You can a day shape but most other vessels ain’t got an idea what they are… but that’s what the horn is for 😁😁😁😁
  9. A nice big bucket of chum, 3 rods out all with wire traces, a mackerel on each, ideally live and wait for a thresher to come along…. that’s about as much as I know about st cats deep. I remember reading about awesome wrecking in Hurds Deep, also a few blue sharks being caught but that was back in the 90s…. I guess that the wrecks aren’t as productive anymore
  10. Welcome 🙂 Nice little set up 🙂 Im over in wales 🙂
  11. Nice wrasse 🙂 Where did you fish? It takes a while for things to settle down especially in winter sadly 😞
  12. https://kdeam.shop/products/kdeam-sports-sunglasses?variant=41298105434156 £28… bit more my price range 🤣
  13. Shout out to Ian @GPSguru for the quick delivery/dispatch from Lyme Bay Tackle. Ordered Sunday night, dispatched Monday, with me today and all a great price (cheapest by a long way) Big shout out! (First 50 here, the other 25 to follow 🙂 ) Eagle claw hooks are excellent, I know we all have our favourites but these are my preferred hooks for all my big fish fishing (I do use another companies hook but find not quite as sharp as these) Ian has got a great range of kit, well worth a look 🙂 Now time to start making a few rigs for the summer 🙂
  14. Day angler would fit the bill. mybfirst boat was an Orkney Pilothouse 20. Would cruise all day ar 20knts, fish 3 no issue and enough room to sleep on. Orkadian similar hull, semi D so you’ll get 20knts if you push it a bit nice boats
  15. So I’ve had a rummage in my boat bits drawer…. It appears that I’ve got a HDI skimmer transducer…. I’m tempted to get fit this also to the hull and shoot from the inside, I don’t need temperature but looks like it should work ok… that way I can have another option for depth and won’t cost me much (some sikaflex and a few cable ties!)
  16. So I was on the boat today, I’ve had a play with the totalscan transducer on the hull, changed position and it’s working a bit better…. I’ll see how it goes with that for now…. 🤔 Also wired up in my new tablet as second screen on deck, USB charger for customers, wireless charger on the helm, varnished insided, new rod holders…. Been a busy day 🙂
  17. It’s the best one yet 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It takes a while to find ones like that…. Awful puns that are nautical as well 🤣🤣🤣
  18. That’s what I’m thinking…. They are for boating so prob end up covered in chum and all sorts 🤣
  19. Ok back to the drawing board then 🤣 ill have a chat with the guy next door, he’s got an excellent set up and see what he’d got
  20. Looks like I’m going for the xSonic Airmar M260 Itll be the shoot through hull type…. Just need to sort a temp sensor now 🤔
  21. A man boarded an airplane and took his seat. As he settled in, he glanced up and saw the most beautiful woman boarding the plane. He soon realized She was heading straight towards his seat. As fate would have it, she took the seat right beside his: Eager to strike up a conversation he blurted out. "Business trip or pleasure?" She turned, smiled and said. "Business. I’m going to the Annual Nymphomaniacs of America Convention in Boston." He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen Sitting next to him and she was going to a meeting of nymphomaniacs! Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked. “What’s your Business at this convention?" “Lecturer." She responded. "I use information that I have learned from my Personal experiences to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality." “Really?” He said. “And what kind of myths are there?” “Well.” She explained. “One popular myth is that African-American men are The most well-endowed of all men, when in fact it is the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth is That Frenchmen are the best lovers, when actually it is men of Mexican Descent who are the best. I have also discovered that the lover with Absolutely the best stamina is the Southern Redneck." Suddenly the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed.. "I’m Sorry." She said, “I shouldn't really be discussing all of this with you. I don’t even know your name." "Tonto." The man said. "Tonto Gonzales, but my friends call me Bubba.
  22. Any recommendations? I’ve got a nice set which are more suited to beach/chilling out than working on a boat. Im after a set of polarised ones which don’t cost the earth (in case they fall overboard) but need to work and not fall apart… any recommendations? 🙂
