  1. More pics later..... First impression.... ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  2. Exactly that! I have shallow draft and Iโ€™m 30ft long but Iโ€™ve got a bow thruster. I can park it alongside without a bow thruster single handed but there is something satisfying when you head out of cabin to tie your lines on and youโ€™re down to 1 inch clearance ๐Ÿ˜‰ Slow is key, if youโ€™re going wrong a quick sharp bit of throttle will stop you in your tracks, but only for a second! Youโ€™ll find it easier if you mark your wheel so you always know what position mid-ships is. Practice is key but if youโ€™re going as slow as you can and plenty of fenders youโ€™ll be fine ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. That and youโ€™re in and out of gear a lot. Slow is pro, a boat hook handy and youโ€™re away :)!
  4. Hopefully, they are in 2-4lb breaker hopefully be out on the hats and barrels in a few weeks and a bit bigger :)!
  5. What do I get for worst joke posted? ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡
  6. Echo max the best or get a rain catcher but fit it correctly... You say you head out on a sunny day.... but then fog comes down or itโ€™s raining or youโ€™re out in the dark.... all worthwhile reasons to have one ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. We tend to start late May/early June so Iโ€™ll wait a month. Gsles this week so no trips for a while, hopefully pollack will get bigger too.... should be 5-8lb on the offshore reefs soon
  8. Looks alright on my phone, turn your screen if you want to see it ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Happy fishing all....
  9. Ian blanked on the sharks. No runs all day. pics look ok to me. Andy can turn them round whilst photoshopping pictures of dogfish ๐Ÿ˜†
  10. I love cats..... just need something to blame for a blank ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  11. Day one: Lugged fuel bait and chum to boat, slept on boat, froze.... woke up, met Ian in Marina, went out on free flow, 25knt cruise to Celtic deeps..... fished nothing.... I blame the cat of doom. He was laughing at me lugging my chum along. His mate is friendly but his owners werenโ€™t around to bring him down so I was left with Mr Grumpy. At least the boat looks good. Came home, Ian went home, Emma and Daisy arrive, time for beer! Due to COvid rules etc was first meal and pint out..... was lush ๐Ÿ™‚ I had picked up an electric heater, slightly less cold on the boat. Emma was ok, she was cuddling the dog. Enticed dog over soon got warm, but dog was stolen back ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Woke up to sunshine and flat seas so off to the islands for breakfast. Breakfast in sun before fishing ๐Ÿ™‚ about 30 pollack around 2-4lb kept a few for family rest went back. Seemed a shame to put back lovely shark baits but freezer full to brim already ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Stopped in Haven for a nap. Too much beer night before.... oops! Back in for a bit of grub and more beer. Then popped to Tenby on way home to keep Emma happy. Gales tomorrow so make some more chum up. Lovely to be back out to there!!! On a happier note Iโ€™ve moved some weight around on the boat, keeps her nose down and bum up, fuel is about 10% better economy. Hit 43knts in the haven before it got too congested to do more but reckon on a 1/3 tank sheโ€™ll do 45+ which is nice ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. Happily fish on my own. Most winter session would be on my own in the dark. Im confidant as a skipper to take my boat 50 miles offshore alone as crew just there for the ride/snooze ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… When locking in itโ€™s easier by myself as I know what will happen. No โ€œhave you tied that rope on or notโ€ If Iโ€™ve done it I know itโ€™s done.... itโ€™s all about cofidenxe, youโ€™ll soon get used to it ๐Ÿ™‚
  13. Sheโ€™s rating to go cat was laughing at me though ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  14. Change of plan, sharking fruday but maybe a trip round the corner for some tope instead of edibles. As wind gets up in the afternoon with a gusty Nโ€™ly
  15. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  16. I got to catch some first ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  17. My TV is on a wall bracket that moves, so I can turn the TV left to right and a bit of tilt as well ๐Ÿ™‚ Its a Hisense TV, 55 inch cost about ยฃ400 built in wifi receiver as well Netflix option etc. Itโ€™s a nice TV, good picture, HDTV inside so plug in aerial and off it goes. Got it from AO next day delivery happy days ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Iโ€™m heading offshore on Friday, trying for an early season porgie. May blank but you never know... Saturday plan a bit of reefing and wrecking see if any cod and pollack around
  19. Hi all, picked up a job lot of Simrad gear. I only bought it for the MFD... itโ€™s a 12 inch NSS evo 2 to upgrade an NSE12. Itโ€™s also got the wireless module too which is useful. The new MFD is a different size to the old so Iโ€™ll need a blanking plate to cover the hole. What do you suggest? Also my current radar is 3G. Iโ€™ve got a full 4G set up and interface to go to MFD so wondering if itโ€™s worth upgrading ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” If anyone wants an autopilot input, AIS set up, sounder hub, SIMNET cables, flux gate compass, SIMNET bus expanders let me know ๐Ÿ™‚ great prices ๐Ÿ˜‰ no sensible offer refused ๐Ÿ˜‰
  20. Well it looks like Iโ€™m out this weekend if the boat behaves.... Friday is a look at the shark grounds to see if anyone home, Saturday around the islands so Emma can fill the freezer with edibles (she doesnโ€™t realise itโ€™s full of chum... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ) Sunday more of the same. Monday.... itโ€™s Ikea.......
