My record is 3 on a kennel rig. When they are in force it be every 3-4 mins a dogfish on your bait. No point fishing then, need to move marks

Apologies all... boat is back in on Friday. Was due to be today but it got postponed to Friday, I get a free lift back due to the move around so I’m not complaining. So from Friday onwards expect gales/rain/lockdown 🤣🤣🤣sorry guys 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Interesting feedback all 🙂 Ill stick to my trusty TLD5 for lighter downtide work then. They do a good range of left handed reels which is great for Emma (a leftie). She will be kitted out for sharks after Xmas but I’m looking at options for her preferred fishing which is based around edibles like pollack/mackerel/bass/cod!

@GPSguru has kindly offered to send a few sample parts over to myself so a donation to RNLI will be on the way soon! Penarth, Porthcawl or Angle depending on where/when I am next on the coast 🙂 On a lighter note. The sheep are safe from me..... 😉

I’ve used running ledgers, I gave up for tope and hounds. Ive had them hit the bait so hard the lead ends up on the mainline stuck behind leader knot. I’ll use a paternoster rig, but don’t like crimps. So looking for a STRONG 3 way swivel or any other way that won’t tangle. The old way of a blood loop will tangle too much....

Hi all, Does anyone have an idiots guide to Avet range of reels? Basically I’m after a guide of what reels are same/similar to your traditional Saltist/Slosh/TLDs etc I know some are 2 speed, different spool widths etc.... is there a comparison chart?

Yep, trout food is oily. I use it in chum. I find it better to let it soak in oil for an hour or two and Chuck into my chum slick in handfuls. Can’t beat fish though.... all this stuff is just impersonating the real thing
