Andy135
If we can get that Poole charter done and fished it would be a good way to check out the facilities for Poole as a meet location. Close enough for the Solent Outlaws to cruise across in their tubs, and further west enough that we may entice one or two of the West Country Outlaws to make the trip up, either in their boats, on trailers or on foot. Plus, the PBSBAC boys may be up for a little friendly competition on their doorstep?

Odyssey
Bristol Channel is winter abs I’d guess you don’t want to join us then as it’s cold 🤣🤣🤣 I tend to agree with @Andy, see how Poole works out? Or try Weymouth? Marina looses good and @mike farrantshas the fishing sorted 🙂
mike farrants
Weymouth & Portland does have a few options, Lulworth ledges, Shambles, adamant, deep water marks off portland, round the bill if tides are kind. plus shelter if needed in portland harbour but it is that bit further down the coast for those coming from further away. Saintly Fish
So, after the success of our Outlaws charter trip, I think it had been decided by the SLT that Poole will be the venue for the next annual boat meet. @Andy135 has volunteered (press ganged) to organise the event. I believe it will be a full charter trip. Date tbc. Im sure Andy is all over it already and will report here soon with his schedule. But to kick it off, let's have some names of those that are wanting to join us!! Neil + Leo

Odyssey
I’m keen but it depends when…. My boat will be out the water for Jan and Feb for at least 10 weeks (longer if I can blag it) so I’ll be working on it in those months on weekends but some will be free. but October is out as I’m tied up for 3 weekends…. (I can do mid week though) So potentially September, November is ok, December potentially. Jan and Feb tend to be crappy… March and April are good. May onwards I’ll prob be my own skipper any chance I can get! There is a potential + 1 but no worries if not. I can also do mid week if it gives more options for wrecking, basssing, plaice, turbot. Not keen for mid week for conger/spurs 😬😬😬 Also open to other locations 🙂 Edited April 7, 2022 by Odyssey

The location is set, just need @Andy135 to get off his arse and start organising something! Odyssey

mike farrants
is this a bring your own boat meet? or just a charter day? once dates are confirmed - I'll confirm - but in principle yes.

The current thinking is that it will be a full charter - that way we get to all fish (blank) together and it makes it easier/more feasible for members who are too far away to bring their own boat. That said, I'm open to members bringing their own boats if they want to. Saintly Fish

suzook12
As Andy is at full speed on this..... I have 5 places available for a tope trip out of Great Yarmouth if anyone is interested. Obviously accommodation would be premium as a holiday resort and no gaurantees on weather. Date will be a Thursday, either 4th or 19th Aug. If you are very quick and want the entire boat can possibly get 5th Aug. £85pp deposit required. This will be predominantly mack and tope, poss some wreck drifting for bait fish while waiting for tides over the marks. Boat is High Flyer 2 Skipper is Jon Old. Just so you know, these are bookings grabbed for our regular group of which I will set one aside for you guys

Saintly Fish
Maybe @Andy135 will want to offer up his thoughts and what he's been looking at. Then peeps can decide and put names forward. As per usual we need people to speak up and commit, but we also need to offer them somethings to choose from and commit to!!

Friday night and Saturday night, then there isn’t the gruelling drive home after the day’s fishing. Yep sounds fair, but without a plan and dates ........ suzook12
No takers?? Don't think many people do fancy a night in Great Yarmouth these days 🤣
Andy135
2022 Offshore Outlaws boat meet is now provisionally booked on Ocean Runner out of Poole on Saturday 2nd July. Fishing on the drift for plaice and gurnard with a chance of a turbot or brill, then fishing at anchor for rays and conger with a chance of tope. We have a middling tide to play with, which should provide a range of species to target. Depending on what's been caught the week prior the skipper may recommend a change of tactics/species nearer the time and will advise accordingly. Cost will depend on number of anglers but will be in the region of £75-95 per person. For those travelling from afar we'll be looking to get a hotel/large AirB&B on the Friday night to make the journey more manageable and to enable an early start on Saturday morning. It's fair to say that some alcohol may be involved on the Friday... Once we have an idea of numbers we'll ask for a small [non-refundable] deposit to reserve a space on the boat. Any lost deposit money will be used to buy the drinks for the remaining anglers on the Friday night, and we'll toast your absence at the bar. So far we have 4 anglers booked - 4 more spaces available, possibly 6 at a push. Who's in? Add your name below Neil + Leo Jon Andy
