@Saintly Fish, do you know when will the skipper make the call on the weather/feasibility of the trip?

did you forget the thermal / waterproof gloves

I'm guessing mid week.

From the skipper....

Afternoon Neil,

All good thanks hope you are well.

The weather looks to settle down towards the end of the week so I would look to make the decision the day before the trip so that I can get the latest forecast.

Thanks

Ryan

probably get lambasted for this - but what's everyone wearing on Sunday?

I have an imax flotation suit (bib&Brace) but it feels like overkill - don't want to be a laughing stock michelin man - but also don't want to be cold..... is it time to break out the "big Coat"? or too soon?

IMAX smock and waterproof trousers. Last washed 3 years ago so I hope you ain’t got weak stomachs 🤣🤣🤣🤣

its giving 1.5-2m swell for sunday morning in poole bay .......

And BBC's forecast has got worse instead of improving. Wind speed has increased by a couple of mph since yesterday.

Your such a doom munger. And we all know bbc weather app is shit!

Not doom-mongering, just stating the facts. I can't help that the weather forecast looks crap. Besides, XC agrees with BBC Weather.

Looking past Sunday the wind speeds are still in the 20's rising to 40's by Wednesday, so there doesn't seem much of a chance that the high winds will blow through in time for Sunday.

well if we do cancel that's the b & b deposit lost they don't give refunds so i am hopping for a change in the weather

If the trip is cancelled Pete I'd hope we can look to re-book, and we may be able to roll the deposits over.

We must be looking at different XC apps then.
