Just joined up and thought I would post up some pics of my boat. She's a 2008 Beneteau 650 which I bought in 2015. Due back in the water next weekend.

Had a lot of fun with the family fishing and just messing about on the water.

She looks lovely! What size Suzuki does she have on the back? Do you trail her anywhere or just use the trailer for winter storage ashore?

Hi Andy, she has a 115 Suzuki, I just keep her on the trailer for winter.

That rig looks really smart. Nice looking trailer too, but what has happened to the mudguards? Bad driving? or Essex louts? I must admit that I have damaged one of my mudguards. but I blame my wife for not keeping a good enough watch out on a very tight corner near Falmouth. That rig deserves an occasional trip out of Essex if you have a vehicle (LR/) capable of pulling it. Trailer sailing opens up soooooo many more opportunities. Geoff. 🙂

Good engines. I know some folks throw shade on Suzukis but the two that I've had have been faultless... hope I haven't jinxed myself now! 🤣👍

I bought the boat  without a trailer and after looking for one for months I (ironically) found this one in the farm where I have my workshop slowly rotting away. Paid £300 for it and rebuilt it but haven’t got round to putting mudguards on  It, I only tow it about half a mile to launch. But your right I could tow it to other marks. Not sure about launching it from my van though. Curreny I get the local park and ride to launch at the start of the season and take it out at the end.

only thing that ever went wrong was a fuel pump when I was running her up on the mooring, apart from that in the nearly 8 years I’ve had her shes Not missed a beat. I put a Suzuki auxiliary on as well and that’s been just as good. I really rate Suzukis

If you read it he has overhauled it. Only the back left tyre is original

Been there, done that - only to find that the one original item (back tyre) was bald and did not hold air. Geoff.🙂

Pretty much, new axles, wheels and brakes and a bit of welding

I've found most vans have really poor hand brakes, but are exceptionally good towers. I bought a 4x4 after the iveco nearly went for a big drink in the Great Ouse. Was standing on the nose of the trailer when she started rolling. I got wet feet!! After a chat with the class 7 tester, he said most of the big vans really struggle on the handbrake test...... Not ideal for steep slipways

I'd agree with that. My fiat Ducato has a very poor HB, I have to leave it in gear when parked on my drive.

I've got a transit custom, I've not noticed the hand brake being poor to be honest,

Was referring to class 7 vans really, but hey, transits have enough issues moving......
