Do you know roughly how much a service would cost for the life raft?

It's almost as much as buying a new raft. My boat came with one which was out of service date. Needless to say it's still sat in the shed in serviced.

Why not get it serviced so you can feel safe in your shed?
Is this a new shed? Have you got rid of the summer house?

No the summer house is still standing just. It'll be gone by end of April though. Not a new shed either. But serviceable.

Lifted from the Seago website

Seago liferafts have a 18 year warranty and should be serviced every 3 years until they are 12 years old. After the 12th year the service interval is annual until it is 18 years old.
