Best boat rods

Anyone used the Daiwa Saltiga boat rods? Curious to understand whether their performance justifies the significant hike in price over the Kenzakis.

I bought the braid version a few weeks ago, not fished it yet, but I did use it to spool 4 reels. Softer tip as you’d want on a braid rod, loads up nicely - I like the feel of it.

My fave conventional rod is the century Excalibur braid 12-20 it’s as light as a feather with a super sensitive tip leading down into a powerful rigid butt. Fantastic rod all round.
specialist will be the 5kg class xzoga taka G   6’6” blanks. Super light and strong for all my  reef fishing.

They are quality rods I've got the 12-20 & 20-40 class rods and love them, but then I do have a soft spot for Century rods still have 8 of their beach casters 😁

I have a Team Diawa TDX 12-20lb, Team Diawa 4-10oz uptider, Abu Suveran Pro 12-20lb,

6-12lb 12-20lb and a 20-30lb  Kenzaki's

My favourite reel is a 25 year old Abu 7000c synchro which has outlived numerous Chinese 7000's which I have now given up buying.

Yes I have toyed with the idea of having my 12-20 rebuilt (I have two of them) but I would like to try some other blanks first before I spent as much or if not more than the rod cost originally on a rebuild.  Hard call to make although we have a good rod builder local to us who I know would make it look at least as good as new or maybe better.

The Greys are worth looking at without breaking the bank, love mine
